My College Bowl Predicitons
By: Adrian Holman | Saturday December 18th, 2010

With the college football bowl season starting on Saturday, I decided to go through every game and pick the winner of each one.  You can also place who you think will win some of these games in the comments as well to make this an interactive extravaganza.

New Mexico Bowl (12/18):  BYU vs UTEP

BYU should win because UTEP’s defense is atrocious.

Humanitarian Bowl (12/18):  Northern Illinois vs Fresno State

In Fresno State’s last regular season game, the Bulldogs defeated Illinois.  Thus, they should be able to defeat Northern Illinois with ease.

New Orleans Bowl (12/18):  Ohio University vs Troy

Troy should win because Ohio’s offense is atrocious.  Watch for Troy WR Jernigan to rack up huge receiving yardage.

Beef O’ Brady’s Bowl (12/21):  Southern Mississippi vs Louisville

I am picking Louisville because Southern Mississippi’s run defense cannot stop anyone from running.

Maaco Las Vegas Bowl (12/22):  Utah vs Boise State

I am picking Boise State because Utah will have to start their second-string QB.

Poinsettia Bowl (12/23):  Navy vs San Diego State

I am picking San Diego State because this game will be played in San Diego.

Hawaii Bowl (12/24):  Hawaii vs Tulsa

If you like high-scoring football games, then you must watch this one.  Hawaii should win because they have a better passing game.

Little Caesars Bowl (12/26):  Florida International vs Toledo

Toledo should win because Florida International has not defeated any non-conference opponents this season.

Independence Bowl (12/27):  Georgia Tech vs Air Force

Both teams run the option.  However, Georgia Tech should win because they pass a little bit better out of their offense than Air Force.  It’s also sort of strange that Air Force doesn’t have an air attack on the football field since the purpose of the Air Force is to wreck damage upon enemy combatants through the air.

Champs Sports Bowl (12/28):  North Carolina State vs West Virginia

This game will be rather close, but I am picking West Virginia based upon the Mountaineers having a slightly better defense.

Insight Bowl (12/28):  Iowa vs Missouri

Iowa’s starting RB was suspended for this game.  I have insight that has proven that Missouri will win big.

Military Bowl (12/29):  Maryland vs East Carolina

I am picking Maryland because E. Carolina has no defense whatsoever.

Texas Bowl (12/29):  Illinois vs Baylor

Baylor will win.  Robert Griffin III.

Alamo Bowl (12/29):  Oklahoma State vs Arizona

This should be the biggest margin of victory out of all of the bowls.  Oklahoma State wins this one rather easily.

Armed Forces Bowl (12/30):  Army vs SMU

SMU will win because of a superior passing game.

Pinstripe Bowl (12/30):  Kansas State vs Syracuse

With this game being in New York, it means that it will be extremely cold and that this game will be decided upon which team has the better rushing attack.  Kansas State does, so I will pick Kansas State to win.

Music City Bowl (12/30):  North Carolina vs Tennessee

North Carolina is still playing with about half of its team after many of the players received suspensions for taking money from an agent.  Although the Tar Heels have good players, their lack of team chemistry does not allow for them to be a good team.  I pick Tennessee.

Holiday Bowl (12/30):  Nebraska vs Washington

The staff at the Holiday Bowl are imbeciles because Nebraska defeated Washington 56-21 earlier this season.  I don’t think Washington can make up 35 points in the rematch.

Meineke Bowl (12/31):  Clemson vs USF

Clemson should win because South Florida couldn’t even defeat UConn for the Big East Title.

Sun Bowl (12/31):  Miami vs Notre Dame

There is no way that I am picking Notre Dame after Coach Brian Kelly caused the death of a student by telling him to climb up on a scaffold to tape practice when there were 50 mph winds outside.  There is no way that I am picking Notre Dame after one of its players raped a girl this season and days later, the girl committed suicide.  Miami all the way.

Liberty Bowl (12/31):  UCF vs Georgia

I am picking Georgia because I could never pick a team coached by George O’Leary.

Chick-Fil-A Bowl (12/31):  Florida State vs South Carolina

South Carolina will win because of RB Marcus Lattimore.

TicketCity Bowl (1/1):  Northwestern vs Texas Tech

Northwestern’s starting QB is out for this game.  Go with Texas Tech.

Outback Bowl (1/1):  Penn State vs Florida

Florida coach Urban Meyer quit on this team.  Now, the team will quit on him in this game.  I am going with Penn State.

Capital One (1/1):  Michigan State vs Alabama

Alabama coach Nick Saban is so obsessive-compulsive that he will not allow for Alabama to lose to a school where he used to coach.

Gator Bowl (1/1):  Michigan vs Mississippi State

Mississippi State’s power running game will be no match for Michigan.  Also, I don’t think that Denard Robinson can beat Mississippi State by himself.

Rose Bowl (1/1):  TCU vs Wisconsin

Wisconsin should win because of their plethora of running backs:  White, Clay, Ball.  That sounds like some Play-Doh.  If Wisconsin loses, then give Badgers fan at www.twitter.com/ianduncs some verbal jabs.  Tweet him verbal barbs for a solid week if Wisconsin loses.

Fiesta Bowl (1/1):  Oklahoma vs UConn

Go Boomer Sooner!  Oklahoma all the way.  If Oklahoma loses this game, then Coach Bob Stoops should be fired on the spot.

Orange Bowl (1/3):  Stanford vs Virginia Tech

Stanford should win because Luck is on their side.  The bad pun was intended.

Sugar Bowl (1/4):  Arkansas vs Ohio State

Uh-oh!  Ohio State is playing an SEC team in a BCS Bowl game.  Ohio State has never beaten an SEC team in a BCS game, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.  Sooey!

GoDaddy.com Bowl (1/6):  Miami (OH) vs Middle Tennessee State

I’m picking Miami (Ohio).  There’s no way that I am picking a starting QB who has thrown twice as many interceptions than touchdowns for the season.

Cotton Bowl (1/7):  Texas A&M vs LSU

Since Ryan Tannehill was moved into the starting QB role, Texas A&M has not lost.  The Aggies also defeated three Top 25 teams during that span.  I don’t see that trend being put to an end by the Mad Hatter.

BBVA Compass (1/8):  Pittsburgh vs Kentucky

Kentucky’s offense is too explosive for Pittsburgh.

Kraft Fight Hunger (1/9):  Nevada vs Boston College

I am picking Nevada just because they beat Boise State in their last game.

BCS Title Game (1/10):  Auburn vs Oregon

You will see why the NCAA did not suspend Cam Newton on January 10th.  The Ducks will need AFLAC after this game.

Have fun watching all 35 games!
