NFL Mock Draft
By: Tony Bosma | Thursday April 22nd, 2010

BOSMA’S BREAKDOWN

Prospective NFL players have been poked, prodded, quizzed, and dragged through the media firestorm for the past three months for the chance to live the NFL dream. Some will achieve their goal, others will flounder in the sea of undrafted free agency.

Many can’t-miss prospects have accomplished this goal and succeeded exceptionally. Others have been duped by the media in believing teams love them, only to find their draft-day spin out of control as other player’s names are called instead of their own (Aaron Rodgers, Brady Quinn). Then there are the select few darlings who are heralded with riches, yet only bring the spoils (Ryan Leaf, JaMarcus Russell, Tony Maranovich).

The 2010 draft is the most wide-open draft in years. One expert loves Jimmy Clausen, the next is skeptical. Every team loves Tim Tebow, but very few will have the fortitude to pull the trigger when they’re on the clock. Unfortunately, this makes creating a mock draft one of the most difficult processes in all of sports. NFL War Rooms are sealed tightly and even insiders with the best sources have no clue what the minds of NFL GMs truly think.

They don’t know. You don’t know. I don’t know. Let’s throw another opinion in the pot anyway…. here’s my 2010 mock draft. We’ll pull out the red pen when it’s all said and done – and something tells me we may need more than one.
