Last week, GCS gave you our Top 10 list for best sports movie of all time (you can see that here). As we continue our quest to rank every and all things, we’re going from best to worst and presenting you the worst sports movies of all time according to GCS.
In our best sports movie list, we agreed on many. But this week, varying opinions were submitted by our writers and many didn’t make the cut. One thing we did agree on with this list is that you should never waste your time watching the following movies (1 = worst of all time):
- Rocky V – Stallone nearly ruined the Rocky franchise with this movie. Tommy Gunn? Are you kidding?

How did Stallone let this happen?
- Caddyshack 2 – Never had a chance.
- Juwanna Mann – The worst idea since Clear Coke
- The Replacements – Keanu Reeves is not an athlete. Nor can he pretend to be.
- Eddie – Whoopi Goldberg….
- Rookie of the Year – Dungeons & Dragons is more realistic
- Summer Catch – Had Jessica Biel, but even that couldn’t save it.
- Slap Shot 2 – This is why sequels should rarely be made
- Fever Pitch – Almost ruined the glory of the Red Sox finally winning the World Series
- Mr. 3,000 – Bad x 3,000
Honorable Mentions: The Air Up There, Radio, Rollerball, Next Karate Kid

Are you kidding with the #9 choice of Fever Pitch. I not only enjoyed the movie greatly, but it really showed what the atmosphere in Boston is like regarding baseball. It was a really well done movie with the resources they had. No way that is even in the top 10 worst movies.

chick flick.. jimmy fallon and drew barrymore (however u spell it) have no reason to be in a sports movie.. ever.

I agree with bwice – but after the best movies section you know Im a sucker for the baseball chick flicks. I think it was relatively well done with solid character development and an impressive portrayal of the fans in one of the only baseball-dominated-fan cities left in America – not a top ten bad movie. Celtic Pride with Damon Wayans and Dan Aykroyd, now that was a POS about Boston fans.

And summer catch – terrible, chick flick, basically nothing but a 2hr long commercial for Sam Adams Beer – but com’on! Hank Aaron made a cameo and Did you see Jessica Biel in that movie? Biel + pool scene should equal Oscar, not top ten bad flicks… Shame Bos. Shame.

Don’t you put all the blame on me for this list. Everyone submitted a list, I calculated the results.. this is what you get. Jessica Biel doesn’t make it a good sports movie, it makes it eye-appealing. That’s it.
Besides, you had Major League 2 on your list and that movie was great.

That movie was brutally bad… The first one is a cult flick in itself… … very eye appealing
