AFC/NFC Championship Picks

There is a good chance today’s slate of NFL games will be much better than the first two rounds. As much as I love the NFL, and after seeing the ratings for these playoffs games you do too, the games have been pretty boring for the most part. You’ve heard all the story lines, as well as the potential story lines for the Super Bowl, so let’s just get to the point. Below are my Championship picks:

NO 31, MIN 24 – The Saints playing at home is the only game that makes home field a major factor. Don’t think for a second the noise from Saints fans won’t have any affect on the Vikings offense. Favre may be the sage veteran quarterback, but I still think he is due for a typical 3-interception game.

IND 28, NYJ 14 – I still refuse to jump on the Jets bandwagon. Call me stubborn, but I think they’re outmatched against the Colts. No matter how much pressure the Jets get on Peyton Manning, he has the ability to make smart plays with guys in his face. I think that makes all the difference in this game.

impressive, the scores you picked were damn close… was there anyone out in blog-reader-land that didn’t see turnout coming though… both teams started the season at least 13-0 and only lost because they wanted to… sorry Cowboys fan(s)… Since week three anyone who was paying attention knew what the super bowl was going to look like… Other that Reavis Island and Favre’s career season, there have been almost no surprises in this football season… Similar to last baseball season… The Yanks started slow, but we all knew they were gonna meet the Phils in October/November… Hopefully 2010 will be better for both sport… However, good predictions.
