It’s elimination week in the AFC and the Pick ‘em Wisely crew is covering all the meaningful games. Before we get into the picks lets take a look at the season standings:
1.TB 32-16
2. DF 30-18
3. PM 26-14
4. WF 27-21
5. NG 12-15
There were no changes in the standings as week 15 saw the top three competitors get two wins each. The season could be decided this week as we’ll choose six games, keeping everyone alive for the top spot. Here are your week 16 picks…
San Diego @ Tennessee
PM- San Diego, as I said last week is going to be a top-runner with the Colts for the AFC chase. Based on my love for the Steelers, I have no choice but to pick San Diego. Merry Christmas!
NG- San Diego has the division locked up and they will coast into the playoffs. Tennessee can keep their playoff hopes alive with a win and they will do just that.
DF- San Diego is red hot. I like Tennessee as well, but I think LT has regained the step he lost earlier. Chargers by 10.
TB- No question, after watching the Chargers knock off Dallas, they are the second best team in the league. Chargers by 17.
WF- My mind tells me Chargers, but I have a feeling VY and Chris Johnson come up big on Xmas. Titans by 9.
Baltimore @ Pittsburgh
PM- The Steelers are still a good team if they show up. Steelers in a must win.
NG- Both teams are up and down, I like the Steelers in a hard fought battle.
DF- This will probably be the best game to watch, but the Steelers aern’t going to be so lucky this week. Ravens by 10.
TB- The Steelers shook the rust of against the Packers, but the Ravens continue to play solid football. Something tells me Troy Polamalu, injury and all, won’t miss this game… so I’m going Steelers by 3.
WF- Very even matchup, but I like the Steelers at home. I feel like Tomlin’s promise of unleashing hell will really show this week.
Houston @ Miami
PM- If you’ve noticed my picks so far this week, I am hoping for everyone to lose that are in the hunt for the AFC wild card. I am a Texans fan this week.
NG- Houston will once again fail to make the playoffs, Miami big.
DF- Too little to0 late for Miami. It’s about time Houston started coming together, not soon enough. Miami by 17
TB- Three factors… 1) important game 2) houston texans 3) in Miami. Only the first two matter because the Texans fail in all games that have meaning. Dolphins by 10.
WF- This is exactly the type of game Houston is known for losing. Miami by 6.
Jacksonville @ New England
PM- New England at home in December weather-like conditions will be to much to handle for the Jags. Hopefully Randy Moss can shut people up and go off.
NG- New England should blow out the over matched Jaguars.
DF- Ho Hum NE by 17
TB- I don’t trust the Jaguars. Especially when an angry Randy Moss is playing against them. Patriots by 14.
WF- The Patriots have been sleep walking through the last month+; I like MJD to give them a shock and teh Jags to knock them off on the road.
New York Jets @ Indianapolis
PM- No Contest, Peyton Manning > New York Jets.
NG- Indy keeps their undefeated season rolling in a blow out win over the Jets.
DF- The Jets had to win against Atlanta and couldn’t do it! What makes anybody think they can beat Indy! Colts by 20.
TB- I also don’t trust Mark Sanchez. And I don’t believe all the hype about him. Plus, the Colts are undefeated. Colts by 20.
WF- I hope Mark Sanchez is taking notes while he watches Peyton torch his team’s defense. Indy by lots and lots.
Denver @ Philadelphia
PM- Can’t blame weather on this game as both teams are used to the snow and blustery wind chills. Eagles in a blow out.
NG- Denver needs to win to stay alive in the playoffs and they will do just that. Rallying around the cast off Brian Dawkins, expect a huge game from the defense.
DF- I don’t care what anybody says Denver sucked before and they still suck now. Phil by 100 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TB- I must have trust issues, because I don’t trust the Broncos either. But I’ll take em. Broncos by 3.
WF- The Eagles can score in bunches and not even ex-’heart of the D’ Brian Dawkins can stop Big Play Desean Jackson. Philly in a White Wash.
LOCKS
PM/WF- Cincinnati over Kansas City
DF- Philadelphia over Denver
TB/NG- Dallas over Washington
UPSETS
PM- Washington over Dallas
NG- Pittsburgh over Baltimore
DF- Carolina over New York Giants
TB- St. Louis over Arizona
WF- Jacksonville over New England
