Tony went 3-0 last week and could have made a lot of money of Dud’s if he’d have seen the bet he was offered in the comments section of the article on the eve of Thanksgiving. The French family (Wes and Duds) had the poorest showing, each collecting 1-2 records, while Pat and Nick had 2-wins each.
Here’s how it stands so far:
Tony Bosma: 24-13
Dudley French: 24-13
Wesley French: 20-17
Patrick McGuire: 18-11
Nick Gustafson: 10-10
Houston @ Jacksonville
PM: Houston is better than there 5-6 record shows. Jacksonville’s record is just about right at 6-5. I like Matt Schaub to dethrown the Jaguars who are 4-1 at home this season. Get pressure on the QB and control the time of possession Houston and the game is all yours.
NG: This one is a toss up, neither team is very consistent, but I like Houston in this one.
WF: Jacksonville currently occupies a playoff spot. I was as surprised as you. Houston looked great at 5-3 but now they’re back to their underachieving ways at 5-6. I don’t know who will show up in this one, but I do know I’d like to see each team excel for fantasy reasons(I have MJD, Schuab and A. Johnson) so I’m rooting for points. I’ll take Houston to come out on top and make the AFC wild card picture that much more crowded.
DF: The Texans are coming off a disappointing loss last week to Indy which they should have won without the collapse. Jax has Drew-Jones, but thats about it. Texans win
TB: Since this game has some importance in terms of Wild Card contention, there’s now way I could pick Houston. Jaguars by 10.
Dallas @ New York Giants
PM: NFL Game of the Week. Ed Werder will be all jacked up about this game as the Cowboys come confidently soaring into Giant Stadium. The records of 8-3 and 6-5 mean nothing when these two match up. The Cowboys have the swagger but the swagger might be to much and start the ugly turn downwards. If you all remember what month it is? December, history does not show good things for Dallas in December as of recent. Go Giants.
NG: The Giants are on quite a slide and the Cowboys are silently sneaking into the playoffs. I will take the Cowboys to crush what is left of the Giants playoff dreams.
WF: Hard to believe the Giants started 5-0. They dropped to 6-6 against a struggling Denver team last week and the schedule isn’t getting any easier with the Cowboys coming in on Sunday. Dallas is looking to stay in the win column and I believe they will do so, dropping the Giants from the wild card race.
DF: I just don’t know about either of these teams, but if history has anything to do with it, the Giants play better late season ball than the Cowboys. I like the Giants by a field goal.
TB: You will get no explanation from me. Cowboys by 14. Boom.
Baltimore @ Green Bay
PM: You know what? I like Aaron Rodgers. Aaron and the Packers at Lambeau field on primetime will be hard to handle for the Ravens. The Ravens need to get there offense rolling better. Packers by 2 TDs.
NG: Baltimore is another team no one can seem to get a line on. Good one week, bad the next, I’ll take Green Bay to beat Baltimore while giving up 5+ sacks of Rodgers.
WF: Baltimore registered a huge win last week over the Rothlisberger-less Steelers at home, but it took overtime. The Packers are rolling and find themselves in control of their playoff destiny at 7-4. I see Aaron Rodgers and Co. putting on a show at home against a battered Ravens defense.
DF: I think I’m the only one who thinks the Ravens can win on the road at Lambeau. Green Bay is due to disappoint. Ravens by 10
TB: The Ravens struggled to beat a Dennis Dixon-led Steelers team. Their offense and defense have both been unimpressive for 3 weeks. Green Bay by 3.
St. Louis @ Chicago
PM: Who cares? 1-10 vs 4-7. Taking Chicago only because they are at home and it may be snowing and everything will look nice but the play on the field.
NG: As much as I would love to see Cutler choke and lose this one too, I don’t think the Bears could lose this one if they tried. However please feel free to prove me wrong Jay Cutler, we’re watching that 1st round draft pick from Chicago climb up the draft board here in Denver. I like the Bears in a blow out win in this one, with a big game from Cutler that will surely spark a week’s worth of undeserved SportsCenter worship of him.
WF: The Bears are bad. The Rams are worse. If the Bears can’t halt their four game losing streak at home against such a weak opponent the seats in Chicago are going to be red hot. Lovie Smith, Ron Turner and Jerry Angelo take heed; a loss to the lowly Rams at home could get one of you fired before we hit 2010.
DF: Who gives a s_ _t. Chicago only cause they’re at home and playing in the cold against a dome team
TB: Da’ Bears play like Da’ Crap. I would love to see James Laurinaitis snap Jay Cutler in half in this game. I think it could just happen, too. Rams by 7.
