As a Cleveland transplant in Chicago, I was at least happy (sports-wise) to come here so I could watch Jim Thome play baseball again. Of course, that all changed when Thome was traded to the Dodgers before the trade deadline this past summer. Needless to say, I wasn’t too happy about it.
But good news graces Chicago this evening as Omar Vizquel, former Cleveland Indians icon and Gold Glove short stop, has signed a 1-year, $1.375 million contract with the Chicago White Sox.
This tips my Chicago Baseball Fan Scale, unfortunately toward the White Sox instead of the Cubs. As an Indians fan, it sucks to ever have to root for the White Sox, but whenever Vizquel is in the lineup, White Sox nation will be +1.

don’t act like you’d rather be a cubs fan. I can recall numerous occasions where you cursed their fans.

Im not acting like I’d rather be a Cubs fan. I’ll never be a true fan of either team.
