NFL Blindsides Week 6
By: Tony Bosma | Monday October 19th, 2009

Quite a week in the NFL with the Saints proving they are the elite team in the league, the Patriots plowing the Titans, and the NFC East looking terrible.

Teams continuing their quest toward 0-16: 3

Here are your Blindsides:

MIN 33, BAL 31 – Brett Favre moves to 5-0 for the first time in his career and the once-vaunted Baltimore defense now looks sketchy.

NO 48, NYG 27 – There’s no question the Saints are the best team in football. Chalk it up as a bad week for the Giants, nothing more.

PT 27, CLE 14 – When the best player on your team is a special teams guy, you’re not going to win many football games. The horrible state of the Cleveland Browns overshadowed a great day by Big Ben.

HOU 28, CIN 17 – The Texans have an identity disorder. One week they’re horrible and great the next. That starts and ends with quarterback Matt Schaub, who had a great day against a  Bengals team that couldn’t rebound from the world believing in them.

GB 26, DET 0 – If you’re a legitimate team in the NFL, you better be able to slay the Lions in this type of manner. Green Bay did,  and if their offensive line can get it together, they’ll contend in the NFC North.

CAR 28, TB 21 – Tampa Bay continues their quest toward 0-16. And someone tell John Fox that Steve Smith is still on the roster. He can be found split out wide, sometimes feet from where Fox stands.

KC 14, WAS 6 – The best chance any winless team has to avoid going 0-16 is to play the Redskins.

JAC 23, STL 20 – The Rams continue their quest toward 0-16. Unfortunately the Redskins are not on their schedule.

OAK 13, PHI 9 – Really?… Really??

ARI 27, SEA 3 – I don’t know what to make of the NFC West, but the Cardinals are showing signs of the way the played late last season.

NE 59, TEN 0 – Really??????? There is poison running through the veins of the Titans organization as they continue their quest toward 0-16.

BUF 16, NYJ 13 – Buffalo just sawed the legs off Mark Sanchez’s throne.

ATL 21, CHI 14 – Orlando Pace needs a hearing aid.
