Bosma was not ready for the response when he asked my father, a Carolina resident and Panther follower, what was going on with John Fox’s bunch.
The old man let loose with a tirade rated NC-17 that would probably be illegal in some countries. This is the first fan rant we’ve received so far this season, and based on the level of hilarity in this one I hope they continue to roll in. In it’s entirety (with some choice edit marks), I give Duds feeling on the Carolina Panthers.
“The panthers, well let me tell ya. Let me see if I got this BLEEPING BLEEP straight. (I coined that phrase by the way) Jake’s new contract. The guy goes out and single handedly BLEEPS up the championship game and then 1 month later you reward him with a long term contract for mega bucks. Then you ignore Peppers, who is undoubtedly one of the best defensive players in the league who was instrumental in getting you to where you got. What the BLEEP is up with that. Many people in charlotte are pretty pissed off at that, with good reason as is the case with many sports figures that sign big long term contracts they usually come back and suck and that’s been the case with Jake just look at the stats. He leads the league in every BLEEPED up area a quarterback could possibly lead. At a marquis position with stats like that you are not going to win many games. The only reason they beat Tampa was because all they did was run and Tampa couldn’t stop it. SOOO with that being said if I was coaching against Carolina and I knew all I had to do was stop the run, it would be very easy for me to set up my defense and kick the the holy BLEEP out of carolina. Watch and see what happens from here out. Peppers gone next year for sure, they even drafted his replacement 1st this year. BLEEP, I don’t know I’m a red-neck nascar fan anyway!!!!!!!!!!!”
…and then Boz receives this message an hour or so after the first one…
“Tony, I forgot the best part of it! After Marty Hurney(CAR GM) signed Jake about a week later both of Jerry Richardson’s(Owner) kids quit! not resign! quit and not much was said about it and neither one of them went to a different team. One of the sons was the president and ceo, nothing but the fact they just quit was said. That told me the old man was on the side of Hurney rather than the kids, it’s my guess the kids told the old man if you sign Jake and ignore Peppers you are making a huge mistake and after that happened it looked more like Hurney was running the show and not them. Soooo the kids likely said BLEEP you to the old man, what do you need us for. I think they still sit on the board for a puppet job and get a check for what that’s worth. But everybody was quiet about that ordeal. Peppers only signed a one year deal and he is definately leaving and the talk is he wants to play LB for the cowboys and everybody knows Jones wants him.
SO PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!”
That’s eight bleeps if you’re scoring at home. And this is coming from a guy who doesn’t totally get into football until Nascar is over.
