ESPN reports Braylon Edwards to Jets
By: Tony Bosma | Wednesday October 7th, 2009

If you want to say LeBron James has a lot of clout in Cleveland, you may want to emphasize it.

Days after former Browns receiver Braylon Edwards allegedly punched a friend of James’, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting the Browns are dealing him to the Jets for special teams player Justin Trusnik and draft picks.

But let’s get one thing straight, the James incident wasn’t the main reason he is supposedly being traded, it’s just the latest in a string of Edwards’ miscues.

It started with dropping footballs.. continued to Edwards saying Cleveland would never embrace him because he played at Michigan.. went further just because his name was dropped in the Donte Stallworth case … and now is at its current state today.

Detractors will say the Browns are better off without him, supporters will talk-up the new Sanchez-to-Edwards connection.

One thing is clear… Edwards has proven nothing in the NFL besides the fact that he hasn’t lived up to expectations or his potential.
