Week 3, 4 games complete
Here’s the deal with the Collinsworth update this week.. I didn’t watch the game. Therefore, there will be no retraction this week and Collinsworth must be given a rare free pass for Week 3. So far, he’s 4-0 and will not be subjected to ridicule or demotion.
Climbing up the ladder to replace Collinsworth, though, is Monday Night Football’s Jon Gruden. Part of this is because he replaced Tony Kornheiser on the telecast, and I was a big fan. Another part is that he doesn’t let Ron Jaworski speak enough. Gruden is a classic limelight stealer and is officially on notice to replace Collinsworth’s empty seat on my “I can’t listen to this broadcaster anymore or I’m going to snap and do something awful” list.
