Let the Season begin. All of the built-up excitement is finally here as the Steelers kickoff against the Titans on Thursday night. The argument arises from every team, are you better to start off against a tough opponent or an easier opponent? This argument may not have a direct answer, but the Steelers welcome anyone into Heinz field. Roethlisberger told Steelers.com, “I like a challenge, I don’t want to come out and play the easiest team in the NFL. I like this challenge because they are a great football team and we owe them one”. The Titans defeated the Steelers one year ago 31-14 in Tennessee. The Titans, who had the best regular season record last season, are coming off of a strong season and are looking to start where they left off one year ago. Just like the Steelers, they reloaded instead of trying to rebuild. We can all anticipate seeing a strong and physical match-up with some bone crushing hits.
We can forget about last year’s outcomes and records and forget about predicted power rankings. Everyone is squared away with a 0-0 record. A new season means new beginnings for some and continued traditions for others.
Let the 90th season of the NFL start off with a bang in Pittsburgh, PA. Look forward to a loud and crazy atmosphere where the terrible towels will be waving and drunken fans will be rooting on the reigning world champions. Let’s hear the predictions now:
