1. Jericho Cotchery is a number two receiver. He is a “T.J. Whose your Mama?” Kind of player, not a number one, not the guy you ask a rookie to go to for big plays.
2. Mark Sanchez is a rookie. Good rookie QB’s have solid receivers, bad rookie QB’s have no name receivers. Marshall would provide the kind of weapon the Jets need in the passing game to give Sanchez a bit of breathing room.
3. Marshall wears the number fifteen. Name one other great athlete that wears the number fifteen? Can’t do it can you?
4. New York needs a new head case receiver, what with Plaxico going to jail and all.
5. Any division that already has T.O. and Randy Moss deserves Brandon Marshall.
6. Unlike Josh McDaniels, Rex Ryan could easily pull a Chuck Norris and make a man-pretzel out of Marshall.
7. Having already traded away a ton of picks for Sanchez, is a high second round pick for a number one wide receiver really to much to ask?
8. If he can make it here, he could make it anywhere. (Frank Sinatra makes more sense if you live in New Jersey, trust me.)
9. If the Jets got Marshall it would make people in Boston upset. As anybody in the greater New York area knows, if it makes the people of Boston unhappy, then it is a good thing.
10. He has his own website. Which if he played for the Jets he would undoubtedly link to my Grand Central Sports Blog.

#15, soon to be AL Rookie of the Year, Chicago White Sox 3B Gordon Beckham. But yea pretty much all other 15′s are brutal.

I actually thought of Carlos Beltran, but I don’t know if he is “good”.

Reason 5 is the best.
