Week 3 gave us a great Favre comeback, crazy jerseys in Seattle, a showcase of horrible JV NFL teams and much, much more. Here are your Week 3 Blindsides:
DET 19, WAS 14 – I’d like to praise Detroit for finally winning a game, but, wow… the Redskins are worse than we could have ever imagined.
GB 36, STL 17 – The Rams continue their quest for 0-16.
MIN 27, SF 24 – It’s clear why Brett Favre is in Minnesota now. That laser beam to the back of the endzone for the winning touchdown was unbelievable. The catch was better.
NE 26, ATL 10 – Don’t ever bet against the Patriots when they lost the week before. Ever.
NYJ 24, TEN 17 – Good night, Tennessee. It was nice knowing you.
PHI 34, KC 14 – The Chiefs continue their quest for 0-16. Oh, and Michael Vick played if you haven’t heard.
NYG 24, TB 0 – After each win, the Giants have the opposition double checking their schedule, hoping the G-men are nowhere on it.
BAL 34, CLE 3 – The Browns continue their quest for 0-16. It may come down to their game against the Chiefs December 20 to decide which team gets a win. I’m predicting a 0-0 tie.
JAX 31, HOU 24 – Will the real Houston Texans please stand up? Wait, just sit down.. you continue to annoy us every year with your indecision of whether you want to be good or not.
NO 27, BUF 7 – To spite the media, T.O. will not blow up this year. Count on it.
CHI 25, SEA 19 – Two weeks. Two Cutler game-winning drives. Two field goal kickers with the assist.
SD 23, MIA 13 – Miami, this is no longer 2008. Welcome back to the bottom of the AFC East.
CIN 23, PIT 20 – The Steel curtain defense is rolling in its grave. Polamalu or not, what happened to the vaunted Steeler D?
DEN 23, OAK 3 – Weak teams and crazy plays are making Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels look good in the Mile-High city.
IND 31, AZ10 – Is there anything Peyton Manning can’t do… or, better yet… any receiver he can’t throw to?
Monday Night Prediction
DAL, 27, CAR 19
I don’t like the Cowboys to cover the spread, but I do like them to win the game. The Panthers and Cowboys are more similar than most may think and might not be as good as anyone first though – but that’s yet to be determined. The winner of this game can salvage their season; the other will be trying to climb out of a deep hole the remainder of the way.
