NFL Blindsides Week 2
By: Tony Bosma | Monday September 21st, 2009

After Week 2, some NFL teams look unstoppable (Saints, Falcons, Ravens) while others look as though they may never win a game in 2009 (Browns, Rams, Chiefs, Jaguars). Time for your weekly Blindsides to outline my reactions to each game in Week 2.

DEN 27, CLE 6 – The Browns will be a confidence builder for all of their opponents in 2009.

NYG 33, DAL, 31 – Costly turnovers for the Cowboys and none from their defense spoiled the opening of Jerry’s World.

ATL 28, CAR 20 – The Falcons look like a team poised for January success. Loved the red helmets.

MIN 27, DET 13 – The Vikings were comatose to start the game but a team can overcome that when playing the Lions.

CIN 31, GB 24 – Chad Ochocinco’s Lambeau Leap should be the least of Green Bay’s worries after Week 2.

HOU 34, TEN 31 – The Titans are the best 0-2 team in the NFL. The Texans still need to prove they can be consistent throughout the season. Hard to say if they’re the team we saw in Week 1 or 2.

OAK 13, KC 10 – Quite possibly the most boring game of the weekend. Sorry if you had to see it.

NYJ 16, NE 9 – The Jets are for real and the Patriots have no pass rush. No Wes Welker for the Pats spelled doom in this game.

NO 48, PHI 22 – If the Saints continue to have such an explosive offense, their defensive performance won’t matter.

WAS 9, STL 7 – Well, maybe this was the most boring game of Week 2. You decide.

ARI 31, JAX 17 – It doesn’t look like the Jaguars will win a game in 2009.  They have the “this team is relocating soon” look all over them.

SF 23, SEA 10 – Frank Gore is a monster and the 49ers look like the team to beat in the NFC West.

BUF 33, TB 20 – Great performance from the Buffalo offense. Trent Edwards is coming of age.

CHI 17, PIT 14 – Jeff Reed looked like he was going to puke after missing his second field goal of the game. He helped Jay Cutler avoid further retaliation from Chicago fans and media.

BAL 31, SD 26 – Darren Sproles… meet Ray Lewis.
