Jerry Jones opened JerryWorld Sunday night, hosting the New York Giants in the first game at the new Cowboys Stadium.
His television competition? The Emmys.
Not to be worried. After all of the detail Jones put into the $1.15 billion stadium, he probably made sure he had stiff competition for TV ratings just to make an even bigger splash should his new stadium and Dallas Cowboys be able to knock off the famous TV awards presentation.
Reports are stating the Cowboys/Giants game averaged 21.7 million viewers compared to the Emmy’s 13.3 million average.
Even though Jones’ Cowboys were unable to open JerryWorld with a victory, at least he can claim he won something on Sunday night.
Don’t be surprised if Jones calls a press conference to give an acceptance speech.
